2.28 | Minor Supervision and Endangerment

2.28.A | If minors are found without proper supervision on university premises or at university-sponsored activities, the University Police Department or local authorities will be contacted. Law enforcement will make reasonable attempts to contact the parent or caregiver. The parent or caregiver should be prepared to show identification.

2.28.B | Minors who are disruptive, display inappropriate behaviors or require excessive staff attention may be asked to leave.

2.28.C | All university staff members are required to abide by the Texas reporting laws for abusive and neglectful supervision.

2.28.D | The Texas Family Code defines neglectful supervision as placing a minor in or failing to remove a minor from a situation that requires judgment or actions beyond the minor's level of maturity, physical condition or mental abilities.
